'MANTLE was an evening of performances by Emma Brennan, as part of 'Mother of Pearl’ - a series of events celebrating Catalyst’s 30th year, the pearl anniversary. Using archival materials and our collective memories of sharing, passing [through], collecting and being they developed a programme of performances, exhibitions, events and engagements which highlight Catalyst Art’s dedication, significance and influence to the visual arts on the island of Ireland.
Invited artists to performance included Emma Brennan, Alastair MacLennan, Brian Patterson, Sandra Johnston and Thomas Wells. Each artist engaged with the space in a different way, bringing with them new elements. Audience members were welcomed to walk freely through the space and watch as performances unfolded.
