A Meal to Gather
''The sea and the coastline are hugely influential on our lives within this city. Each of the artists gathered has their own personal relationship with this stretch of coastline, and with all the others it represents. The idea and hope for this gathering has arisen out of ongoing research within my own practice into the relationship between art, ritual, spirituality and the land; how we carry our encounters with the landscape with us. The beginnings of spirituality are rooted in that strange and vital encounter with an unknowable universe. Both spirituality and art are manifestations of our imaginative exploration, and search for a way to understand that universe.''  -Cara Farnan, Curator
